Since its founding in 1921, Science news has been sharing the wonders of the world around us with millions of people — especially youth. Today, our award-winning news and features cover the latest developments in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) for kids ages 9 and up, their parents and educators. Our stories provide a fresh look at current research and discoveries, written with vocabulary and sentence structure that’s appropriate for the youngest readers, but also with depth that appeals to older middle- and high-school students. Educators love our content, too, for its areadability scores and Next Generation Science Standards codes that align with core concepts being taught in U.S. classrooms. Each online story contains additional materials to aid in STEM literacy, including a power word glossary and a teacher toolbox.
Science news is published by the Society for Science & the Public, which connects research to learning through its world-class science competitions for youth. The Society also publishes a number of science books.
